HewitsonThe Mother Vine Shiraz 2012
About this product
In 2008, the buds from an ancient Shiraz Vine planted in 1853, were grafted unto 25 year old roots to genetically replicate the originals DNA and flavour profile. Using this grafting method, Hewitson have now created a whole vineyard stemming from this one, mother vine. The wine shows earthy blackberries, spice and cracked pepper. Medium bodied with soft tannins and a long finish.
