HewitsonOld Garden Mourvedre 2010
About this product
Planted in 1853, the Old Garden vineyard in the heart of the Barossa Valley is likely to be the oldest Mourvdre vineyard in the world. Bush vines, no irrigation, hand pruned and hand harvested as it was the day it began bearing fruit, this wine shows dark chocolate, glazed cherries, coffee and orange peel balanced by softened, yet still dusty tannins during its 18 months in the French oak barrels.
