About this product

An excellent release from this estate, and one that begs the question: is there a better value, organically grown Vic Pinot on the market? We think not. Fermented wild with 10% whole bunches, the wine was raised on lees in a mixture of concrete and old wooden barrels (at least 10 uses) that previously housed the Caledonia Australis Pinot. It’s a silky Pinot with a fleshy, textural palate, a heady mix of red fruit, loads of spice and forest-floor savouriness encased by sleek, juicy tannins. It’s a wine that over-delivers big time; if you haven’t tasted a Macleod Pinot for a while, do yourself a favour.
