PenfoldsBin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
About this product
Launched with the 1990 vintage in 1993, Bin 407 was developed in response to the increasing availability of high quality cabernet sauvignon fruit. On the nose, an immediate ascent of violet, mulberry leaf, star anise, cinammon and orange zest. On the palate, Imediately more Tuscan than Bordeaux in cabernet character. Nevertheless, still very (South) Australian. Savoury, with a sour cherry grip ... and subtle cherry pip oak influence. Darker fruits and green Spanish (stuffed) olive flavours further define the vintage, style. Peak drinking Now - 2030.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Vintage 2017
94 points points
Brightly fruited and expertly formed with red and black berries, cherries, black currant depth, panforte and a savoury overlay of dried herbs and meats. The flow across the palate is both elegant and effortless.
