I was looking for a cherry ‚Schnaps‘ and came across this one. It is deep red and flows in a thick manor. The taste is full and intense like cherries. Definitely an interesting liqueur and one I will be revisiting

Tried all the cherry liqueurs. Herring is by far the best. Lovely lingering aftertaste, perfect mix of sour and sweet, texture feels just right in the mouth. It is perfection.

Leaves other cherry brandies in the dust. Once you've had this, you'll know why it's a classic. Absolutely necessary for a Blood & Sand cocktail, any substitute would be lacking.
