This is a good example of a varietal wine from this variety, best known as a blending option. lifted perfume notes with a meaty, savory element creeping in with a touch of spicy licorice. The palate is medium weight, but it has poise and strength with sinewy chalky tannins in support. Oak adds a slightly cedary lift.
