In creating 1703 old cask selection, Master Blender Allen Smith selected the finest single & double distilled Rums from Mount Gays oldest reserves. 1703 is a blend comprised of the rare & noteworthy barrels that Allen carefully monitored over the years. 44 blends were necessary to reach the subtle, perfectly balanced final blend which produces a refined harmony of oak & caramel aromas with a balanced body with caramel, spice & toast with exceptional roundness and a delicate finish.
