The fruit was crushed and destemmed into open fermenters where it was hand plunged twice daily. The wine was given seven days extended skin contact after fermentation before being basket pressed producing soft yet firm tannins. All three varieties were vinified separately and blended one month prior to bottling. The wine was matured for 18 months in French oak prior to bottling.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.

Richly fruited and powerfully graceful, the wine shows dark fruit richness combined with seductive notes of game, toasted almond, olive and floral on the nose. It’s concentrated on the palate displaying excellent depth and intensity together with refined mouthfeel and silky tannins, finishing impressively long and engaging. At its best: now to 2028.

Fine perfume, red and black fruit, some liquorice richness, dried herb in there too, adding a more fragrance. It’s medium-bodied, almost silky in tannin, dark raspberry, a quiet succulence, excellent balance and finish, with gentle grip closing it out. Very good.
