AROMA: Perfumed nose with dark berry, chocolate and plum fruit. TASTE: A medium to full bodied Cabernet with plush red and dark fruits. Hints of chocolate with some spice notes on the long fine finish. CELLARING: Drinking well now or will cellar for 5-7 years. VINTAGE 2020: A mild with a long ripening season which produced low yielding fruit with good concentration. McLaren Vale produces Cabernet sauvignon which are naturally rich and textured and this year the wines were exceptionally balanced. Sourced from 2 vineyards with average age of vines between 15-25 years.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.

The clever winemakers at Chalk Hill have allowed those little cabernet berries to express themselves in a juicy and slurpable way. Unmistakably cabernet, with obvious cassis flavours, this is uncomplicated and a joy to drink.
