Rusty MuttOriginal McLaren Vale Shiraz
About this product
Three separate vineyards of Shiraz were selected for this wine. The fruit was crushed and destemmed into open fermenters where it
was hand plunged twice daily. The wine was given seven days extended skin contact after fermentation before being basket pressed producing soft yet firm tannins. After 12 months, each barrel was chosen for suitability into this vineyard blend before further maturation as a complete wine.

Vintage 2016
95 points
It’s sweetly fruited and fabulously expressed on the nose showing blackberry, sweet cherry, warm spice and cedar characters. The palate is equally gratifying with excellent weight and plush mouthfeel wonderfully complemented by silky texture and rounded tannins, making it hugely appealing. At its best: now to 2028.
