Powerful and finely ingrained, Tyrrell's Vat 47 Chardonnay 2001 displays a fresh bouquet of peaches and cream, ginger and cloves. Its complex flavours delicately balanced with hints of stone fruits, melon and sweet oak. The palate is taunt and elegant with subtle tobacco and green apple. It builds in power towards the finish with soft acids and a touch of minerality. Flavours will become savoury and smoky over time if cellared.
