Cape Mentelle Trinders over the years has delivered on the most consistant Cabernet Merlot's from the home of the blend in Australia, Margaret River. This latest release from the 2006 Cellar Release range has been cellared expertly and the rich flavours of mulberry, all-spice and blackcurrant and just coming into their own after the harsher Cabernet tannins have drifted away.

This one has not aged successfully. This was as bad a red-wine-experience as I can remember. Maybe it was just my bottle, but I doubt it. Sorry, I know these guys put a lot of hard work into their products.
