About this product
One of the 'super seconds' Cos d'Estournel is planted to 60% Cabernet and 40% Merlot. The vineyard are densely planted, 8000 to 10000 vines per hectare with the Cabernet on the gravel soils on the southern slopes, the Merlot on eastern slopes over limestone. When young the wines have great structure and intensity of explosive fruit. They mature admirably with smoothness and aromatic complexity.
