Hand-picked and sorted, open-fermented with 60% whole bunches, 2% viognier co-fermented, matured in French barriques (30% new) for 11 months. Medium to full-bodied with black cherry/berry and strong spicy/savoury/earthy tannins. Overall very good length and balance.

Some whole bunch, open ferment, matured in new and used French oak. Shows quite upfront whole bunch influence with savoury, gamey notes and a liberal dose of cool climate white pepper. Medium-bodied, but plenty of flesh in the flavours of ripe red and black fruits, and while there's no mention of viognier in the winemaking notes it has that sort of feel. Tannins are velvety and well-judged. Good wine. (Steven Creber, Wine Companion).
