Peter LehmannStonewell Shiraz 2003
About this product
Peter Lehmann's flagship Shiraz, the Stonewell, is a classic Barossan. Full bodied, it displays deeply concentrated and vibrant aromas of blackcurrants and red berries underscored by chocolate and cedar oak. Hints of mint and briar came on the way to a finish of wonderfully soft tannins. Stonewell Shiraz uses the best batches of each vintage from various growers across the Barossa Valley. 2003 was a slightly difficult year for most in south-eastern Australia, yet it would be hard to tell if judging from this wine alone. With parcel selection and hand-crafting, the 2003 continues the fine form of recent Stonewell's and will age comfortably for the next decade or more.

A firmly structured Stonewell that has benefitted from its tannin cloak; mature cherries, earth and blackberry.
