A multi-regional masterpiece that shows power, concentration and balance to showcase the very best in Australian wine. The 2003 was a challenging year relying strongly on multi-district fruit selection. The nose is complex, with rhubarb, elderberry, vanilla and aniseed aromas and a hint of tobacco leaf. The palate is sweet and fleshy with generous elderberry, black cherry and liquorice flavours, followed by malty American oak and fine, dry tannins.
