In tiptop form. Classic cabernet flavours and structure. Blackcurrant, gravel, lead pencil/chocolate, smoky tobacco and bay leaf. Flows more or less effortlessly through the mouth but the undertow of tannin is not insignificant, no matter how deeply sunk into the fruit it is. Persistent more than passes the test. Ticks all the way along the line

An imposing statement of Margaret River cabernet sauvignon from this outstanding season. Opens with a classic wave of Marg’s blackcurrant and black olive fruit with a lifted overlay of mintiness. The palate is deeply intense and supported by ripe, precise tannins. Plenty of oak has been ladled into but the balance has been struck perfectly. Built for extended cellaring.
