About this product

The Carlei ethos is to make 'real wine', wines that express themselves with a true sense of terroir. Complex with lifted aromas of minerals, pear, citrus and spice. A rich and textured palate combines pear and lime flavours with a juice, fruit sweetness all balanced by crisp and vibrant acidity. Beautifully fresh with superb mouth feel and length.

While maybe in the higher end of the price scale for Pinot Gris, this wine offers all you could want from this variety. Ample fruit, good mouth feel and well balanced acidity to ensure a long finish, something a lot of other Pinot Gris lack

I have been purchasing this Pinot Gris since tasting it in the Qantas lounge some years ago. It is full of rounded flavours and very pleasant on the palate. I have no hesitation in recommending this wine to Pinot Gris devotees.

This wine does not display varietal charictors, it shows the influence of unbalanced acidity perhaps due to a winemaking fault.
I wouldn't recommend to a friend
