Making only 2 wines and concentrating most on their iconic Cabernet blend, Lake's definitely take the laid back approach to winemaking. Utilising traditional methods like hand picking, gentle crushing and open top fermenters, the Lake's Folly Cabernet is a lovely hark back to an old Australian 'Claret' style. The 1996 Cabernets is now quite austere showing a leathery/earthy complexity. The terroir of the wine still shines after all these years.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.
