About this product

Le Blason du Prince is one of the more flavoursome and robust Châteauneuf-du-Pape's available. Showing vibrant blackberry and redcurrants in abundance, this is a southern Rhône that can be enjoyed as soon as released or is more than capable of handling a few years in the cellar to smooth out those masculine edges to evolve into a more slinky, sensuous wine.

Great Châteauneuf, with splendid aromas of evolution such as dried figs, tobacco, leather. Vet smooth tannins and beutiful finish of soft spices, clove and red fuits.

After a weekend of sampling the mid range Chateauneuf du Pape (i.e. around the $50) options, this was a clear standout from the others. I suspect slightly more syrah in this blend and a few extra hours of breathing helped.

Full of dark berries - every glass is like as, if it was the first - never tiring and always looking forward to the next in anticipation, glorious wine- nothing else in its field,comes close to this wine. Try it - you won't be disappointed.

A wondrfull example of CND the blend works perfectly creating a journey for the tastbudds to one off frances most delightfull regions we enjoyed it with Peking duck .. thrilling JY Perth
