Yarra YeringDry Red No.1 1999
About this product
One of Victoria's true heritage wines, Yarra Yering Dry Red No.1 is primarily a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Malbec and a touch of Petit Verdot. Planted on a historic Yarra Valley site by the late Dr Bailey Carrodus, the 1999 Dry Red No.1 has a colour of very dark garnet and a nose of cedar and ripe raspberry cassis, developing superb earth, mushrooms and truffle characters after breathing. Magnificent soft velvety palate with very sweet earthy fruit, and a hint of confectionery; silky smooth tannins and length.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.
