Frederick and Herbert Kay planted the Block 6 vineyard in 1892 with a myriad of varieties on a bed of remarkably varied soils. This natural diversity has allowed Kay Brothers to produce a concentrated masterpiece from this vineyard without any real need to play around in the winery. The vineyard does all the work. The 1998 Block 6 comes from a heralded year in South Australia, the proof of which can be tasted in this beautiful bottle of wine. Aged to perfection, the 1998 is ready to opened, decanted and enjoyed.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.
