Property goes back to 1893. In a hidden side valley of Clare Valley, the Wendouree property dates back to 1893. And wow, what a profoundly beautiful nose! This 1998 Shiraz / Mataro offers intense aromas of preserved cherries, licorice, dried plums, coffee, dark chocolate, kirsch and dried rose petals. Rich and seductively full in the mouth with generous, layered flesh, it’s well supported by medium-firm fine-knit tannins, refreshing acid and a very long finish. Still has a long life ahead of it.
