Full purple-red; luscious ripe blackcurrant/berry aromas, not dissimilar to the '90. The palate is softer, rounder and riper than the '90, with luscious red and blackcurrant fruit, finishing with fine-grained tannins.

Earthy, pencilly, briary and smoky, with sweet caramel oak, particularly on the bouquet. Terrific smoky/leathery softness to the mid-palate and a rush of seedy cedary deliciousness. A lovely Petaluma red.
