About this product

Penfolds RWT was first vintaged in 1997 after several years of 'Red Winemaking Trials'. While RWT is a relative new-comer, it adds great diversity to the Penfolds stable of iconic red wines. Sourced from vineyards on the western edge of the Barossa Valley, namely from Kalimna, Moppa and Ebenezer and matured in 100% French Oak, RWT epitomises contemporary Barossa Shiraz. The 2003 vintage was a warm and difficult year resulting in a stringent selection of fruit find the regions best. The result is a classic RWT that is just starting to come out of its shell.
