PenfoldsBin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon 1990
About this product
This was the very first vintage of Bin 407. Fully mature, mellow, elegant wine with wellconcentrated roasted coffee, mocha, cedar flavours, mid-palate richness and fine, grainy tannins. Finishes chalky firm but minerally long. Still holding well, but drink soon.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Typical Penfolds cabernet. Mint, blackcurrant, pure and clean and with lots of fresh fragrance. Holding up very well. Lovely juicy flow through the mouth, tempered by cedary, grainy tannins. Indeed, it’s developed, but only gently so – words you find yourself saying of so many Penfolds 1990-vintage reds.Good, medium-level drink.
