Jim BarryThe Armagh Shiraz 1997
About this product
Jim Barry The Armagh Shiraz for quite some time now has belonged to the upper echelon of Australia's finest red wines. Sitting comfortably in the 'Outstanding' category in the Langton's Classification of Australian Wine, The Armagh is an embodiment of the lifetime's work of Jim Barry and now his son Peter. Old vine Clare Valley fruit is used to create a Shiraz of utmost power, concentration and intensity with the ability to age gracefully for decades. The 1997 is holding up wonderfully with primary fruit still evident in the glass only with the truly more-ish earth and spice characters coming to the fore.
