The wine is vinified in a traditional manner; small parcels of fruit, are fermented on skins in open top vessels then basket pressed to a mixture of new and seasoned French oak casks for 22 months.

Sure '16 wasn't as great as '17, but it was an undeniably good vintage, producing classic red wines of power and length. Here the fruits are intense, blackberry, and black cherry in the lead. The tannins are firm, but not grippy, the wine developing slowly, its fruit/oak/tannin balance guaranteeing a long life.
