This is what it is and doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not. What it is is a big juicy mouthfull of ripe rounded chardonnay fruit wrapped gently in smoothing oak. The 2020 vintage of this huge crowd favourite is right back in form with the oak held well in check but retaining a smoothing influence. The fans will love the overt ripe stonefruit and tropical fruit - think grilled apricots and pineapple. It’s mouthfillingly rich, displaying honeyed, salted butter, grilled nuts and finishing bright and brisk with cleansing, lifting acidity.
