About this product

A premium predominantly Caberent Sauvignon blend named and produced as a tribute to one of Australia's outstanding winemakers and pioneers, Cyril Henschke. The 1999 is made up of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc fruit all grown from Eden Valley and matured for 2 years in new French Oak. The drought conditions of the 1999 resulted in smaller berry size producing spicy, dark intense reds, shown through the compact palate of sweet fruit, mocha and pepper, structured by fine grained tannins and long, elegant finish.
