I have had $100 bottles that were less appealing

wine is a personal taste ... when properly paired, I would pay much more than this and be satisfied ... not being a Shiraz fan, this wine is far from perfect but is well balanced and suits our preferences.

Didn't like it initially, but after a few hours of breathing it became quite drinkable. I left a couple of bottles to mature for a year or so. Given the price it is a rather good buy and goes well with meals.

This Chianti has a good complex yet subtle flavor profile full of red fruits. Slightly acidic, pairs good with a hearty Italian meal, a good finish but not overbearing. Taste improves with decanting. This is a great mid week Chianti, excell
