About this product

This is the second wine produced from the nearly 30-year-old Macedon Ranges vineyard. The Glenhope vineyard, situated at an altitude of 450 meters on granite soil at the northern end of the region, contributes to its unique character. The winemaking process mirrors that of Bindi Chardonnays: destemmed berries are pressed, and the juice is transferred directly into barrels, with approximately 30% being new small French oak. Fermentation occurs naturally without yeast addition, and the wine remains on all lees for ten months until just before bottling. The 2023 vintage boasts a beautiful nose of lemon and citrus flowers, spice, fig, and a hint of nectarine. The palate is full, fresh, harmonious, creamy, and lingering, with lovely weight and ease. It is expected to improve for at least three years and drink well beyond that.
