About this product

The Lodge Hill vineyard is a masterstroke of the Jim Barry range of wines. Adding yet another layer of complexity to this producer's arsenal, Lodge Hill (at 480m) is one of the highest vineyards in the Clare, and sends down a bath of chocolate infused blackberries with liquorice spice. A gorgeous wine.

Loved our 2020 Shiraz with our BBQ beef and lamb. East drinking, smooth, dry, great Shiraz flavour.

The 2010 Lodge Hill Shiraz -there is a fair bit of oak on this wine but at the same time the fruit is singing as well - I thought it was like liqueur cherry as well as mulberry and blackberry, it also has soft spicy notes. Ripe, fruit drive

2010 - Good colour. Peppermint bouquet. Smooth start, kick lingering finish which will probably soften with a couple of years in the bottle. Tannins and pepper.
