Rolf Binder is the architect behind this big, brooding, monster of a wine. Utilising the vineyards available to the Vertias Winery, Rolf is able to produce a rich and voluptuous Shiraz Mataro blend that is almost ink-like in texture. Fruit flavours dominate the palate including raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, blackcurrant and blood plum. There is more than enough tannin structure to reign all this flavour back into line which in the end will appease even the most die-hard Barossa red wine lover.
