Vintage 2021
Dominique Portet has been one of Australia’s best makers of rosé for a very long time. The secret is that he cares about making good rosé, and always has done. His latest version of this Yarra Valley icon is a case in point. You can see the winemaking influence in this, the way it has been carefully constructed and the way it all comes together so deliciously.
Fashionably pale pink and dry, the fruit flavours head towards savoury raspberry and light cranberry. It’s crisp and crunchy, yet retains a smooth textural note.
Wine panel co-ordinator, Gary Braidner, likes this a lot. “It’s long and refreshing, and right in the groove, as usual.”
