Vintage 2009
4 stars The Age Epicure
Gewürztraminer is more popular in New Zealand than here and quality is generally better. This Marlborough 2009 is a shade less alcoholic and better balanced than Lawson's 2008, and has musky pot-pourri, pungent spice, sweet citrus and lychee-like varietal qualities. Concentrated and unctuous, it's enriched by a dab of sweetness mid-palate.
