Originally launched by a cheeky Frenchman as a “tongue in cheek” dig at the French propensity to appear arrogant; something I’ve never really encountered, apart from that guy in Bordeaux, oh, and the couple in Champagne…then there was that Burgundy fellow…. The initial idea was mainly to provide to the greater wine world a reliable, inexpensive red that provided good, honest flavour and approachability. The first vintage set the pace and each vintage since has maintained the tradition, so much so, that Arrogant Frog is now one of the most recognizable wine brands in the world. The 2020 cabernet-merlot blend boasts a good depth of colour, notes of earthy black cherries and plums with a finishing coat of vanilla and spice. The wine is smooth and perfect for casual dining.

A remarkable and consistent wine delivering great value over many years.
