Grimbergen is a group of Belgian abbey beers first brewed in 1128 at the abbey that Saint Norbert of Xanten built for the Premonstratensian (Norbertine) canons regular in Grimbergen. They became famous for providing hospitality and their home-brewed beer to visitors, and handed down the recipe over the centuries.

Mixed results from the boys: Low taste but good strong citrus after-taste Very nice, and 6.5% gives it a nice kick along Best dark ale sampled to date! & alcohol % is a bonus Too heavy for me A bit thick for my taste

This beer is quite an unknown in australia fairly new import Pours brown, ruby hints in the light, fluffy white head, slightly sticky with some lace. Smell is dark fruit in alcohol, plum, raisin, cherry, light alc. and yeast. Taste is dark
