The 407 provides varietal definition, approachability, structure and depth of flavour. The grapes used in the 407 are sourced from multiple regions and is a wine that will benefit from some time in the cellar. The 1999 vintage shows subtle oak, cassis and blackberry on the palate followed by soft, gentle tannins.

Medium red-purple; the bouquet offers sweet cassis berry fruit and subtle oak flowing on well into the attractive, sweet redcurrant-flavoured palate. Soft tannins and gentle oak add to the appeal; significantly better than the 1999 Bin 389.
