2013 Scottsburn is Penley Estates first Cabernet Shiraz blend made at a premium level. The two varieties were fermented separately and remained that way until we blended three months prior to bottling. This wine showcases both varieties with some dark berry fruit from the cabernet and some lovely spice from the shiraz, the combinations of the oaks works well with a hint of vanilla coming through from the American oak.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.
