Now a second generation family operation, Paracombe produce a Cabernet Sauvignon that walks the line between concentration and elegance wonderfully. Cassis notes meshed with spicy characters and an underlying eucalypt and mint note.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Very good release. Paracombe’s cabernet-based wines are singing at the moment. Pure blackcurrant and violet-like characters run into mint, chocolate, olive and bay. It’s rich-enough and smooth-enough without being gloopy or overdone. Tannin is present but soft, and the run of fruit through the finish is most impressive. It pretty much goes without saying but the value is high.
