When crafting their Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey, distillers meticulously work with the five sources of flavour to ensure exceptional taste and a balanced flavor. Grain – the first of the Five Sources – is exactly sourced to produce the defined taste we’re looking for in every bottle of Woodford Reserve. The mash bill contains 53 percent rye, resulting in a liquid with pronounced spice notes that’s sweetly hinted with fruit before a long finish. COLOUR: Rich honey. AROMA: Spicy with distinct notes of rye, black pepper, cedar and cassia bark sweetened with a dusting of marzipan. Hints of pear, apple and almond linger on the nose. TASTE: Clove, rye, mint, molasses, sorghum and honey mingle together with hints of apple and malt. FINISH: Long and sweetly spiced."
