Dry, Full Bodied style of ShirazMcLaren Vale, AustraliaAs a mature wine this 2005 Shiraz is still showing density on the palate and some very luscious fruit characters. However, as with all mature wines, primary fruit notes have given way to complexity. Leather, tobacco leaf and dried herbs and fruits show as the wine, altogether more savoury now, opens in the glass. The sweetness of the finish is balanced all the way by the acidity. A remarkable wine!
