Exacting winemaking and near perfect vintage conditions provided this gorgeous Yarra Valley wine with everything it needed. The bouquet is intense and beautiful, the wine well and brightly coloured, with forest floor savoury notes complementing the concentration of red berry and cherry fruit. Clasically "pinotesque" with a delightful piquancy and a perfect balance of strength and beauty. Yarra Valley pinots do not come much better than this.

It's a wine of inherent complexity. It's fine-boned and slender, but there's enough texture and flavour to satisfy and then you get to the nuances, which are many. It's an undergrowthy pinot, and a spicy one, but macerated fruit carries throughout and cedary oak has been expertly applied. Sure, safe hands here.
