Lugana DOC

Lugana is a DOP region near Lake Garda in northern Italy and benefits from the tempering influence of the lake. The variety used is Trebbiano di Lugana, not related to the Tuscan trebbiano, and known locally, and more recently as "turbiana". This Lugana has distinctive characteristics, such as its straw-like color with greenish highlights, its delicate scent and its tangy apple and citrus flavour with sidelights of almond, honey and a saline note.
