Cliff Edge Shiraz seems to have stepped up a gear of late. If you shop around, it can be sensational buying. This release is. It’s a pearler. So delicious and yet as complex as you might wish. Black cherry, aniseed, jubey blackberry and rounds of black pepper/dried woody spice. In the mould, in the groove, yet alive with succulent flavour. Satisfying, finely-tannic, almost grapey tannin. Go-to wine par excellence.

Good depth and hue; has that particular array of spice, pepper and licorice seasoning to the black cherry and blackberry fruits of Langi, the cleverly worked percentage of whole bunches in the ferment adding another dimension; there is also a totally delicious envelope of juicy fruit holding the wine together while lengthening the finish
