At over 6 years of age this wine has started to integrate beautifully, requiring a good aeration in a decanter to reveal its full glory. Still fresh, almost kirsch-like, with a complex amalgam of red, black and blue fruits, along with complex secondary characters of mocha, roast chestnuts and cedar. The palate is rich but elegant and finely tannined. Great with garlicky, chargrilled meats.
