Picked in the early morning, the fruit for this wine was crushed to fermenter with a proportion of whole berries to maximise fruit expression. After a gentle fermentation on skins for 8-10 days wth twice daily pumpovers the wine was pressed to new and seasoned French oak before resting for its 18 month maturation.

This is ripe and beautifully fragrant on the nose showing dark fruit characters with violet, mixed spice, thyme and roasted hazelnut notes. It’s succulent and supple on the palate, displaying lovely mid-palate weight and roundness together with fine, grainy tannins, finishing pleasingly dry. Approachable and fabulously drinkable. At its best: now to 2025.
