52/48% shiraz/grenache. Old-vine material aplenty from sand (grenache) and alkaline clay loams (shiraz), matured in seasoned oak. Plump, a bit reductive, but poised and nicely relaxed. None of that hard tannic tweaking or Berocca acid that too often mars wines at this price point. Maraschino cherry, chinotto, violet and anise. I'd decant this aggressively to blow off the reduction. Then, a good drink in the making.
