2016 Xanadu Cabernet Sauvignon has been awarded the coveted Jimmy Watson Trophy! The immense pedigree of the Xanadu Cabernet Sauvignon gleams over twelve excellent vintages. Since the 2016 vintage was awarded the Jimmy Watson in 2018, the Xanadu Cabernet Sauvignon label has now amassed a staggering twenty-two trophies and thirty-seven gold medals at a succession of prestigious Australian wine shows, including eight National Wine Show of Australia trophies. Full-bodied yet refined, the generous palate offers a core of inky berry fruits; boysenberry, blackcurrants and Satsuma plums. Dense and well-structured, the palate is layered with these dark fleshy fruit characteristics and ripe tannins which culminate through to a persistent Cabernet finish. Vibrant and robust in its youth, this is a wine which will certainly benefit from further bottle maturation, and will cellar comfortably for 5-10 years.
